Let's perfect your writing.

Hey, I'm Cara Rosmon, and I'm an editor/writer.

I fell in love with words at a young age. Thanks to my mom, it was likely before I could even speak. In elementary school, I'd ask my parents to buy me three or four books at a time and then read them all in one weekend. By the seventh grade, I was writing plays for my school, and once I was in high school, I was writing articles for my school's yearbook and newsletter. Then, by the time I was a sophomore in college, I was helping students and professors proofread their writing. So, as you can see, I have always loved reading and writing. Once I was introduced to editing in 2017, surprise, surprise, I fell in love with that too. Since then, I have helped over 1,000 people with various writing projects.

Though my true passion is book editing, I edit content for all mediums. My goal is to help ensure your writing is not only grammatical but that it also flows and makes sense to whomever your targeted audience is.

I promise to treat you and your project with the utmost respect and professionalism. You and I will work together as a team to ensure your project is exactly how you envisioned.

Let's get started

Let's chat about your editing needs

A discovery call is required before we can move forward with any editing services. During the call, we'll chat about your piece of writing, your targeted audience, your project's timeline, and your concerns. Then, I'll let you know if and/or how I can help enhance your project.

My professional advice: do not trust anyone with your writing project until you have talked to them and are confident in their ability and commitment to accomplish your vision.

Let's go through your manuscript with a fine-tooth comb

This process ensures your writing is free of grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and verb tense errors in addition to making sure it flows and makes sense to your readers. Line/copy editing will also help ensure your story's details are consistent and accurate.

To ensure perfection, each page of your document is read at least three times. Once editing is complete, you'll receive a Microsoft Word document with my comments and suggested revisions.

Let's review your masterpiece

After your manuscript edits are complete, you'll accept/reject my suggestions and address any comments left in the margins of your document. During this process, you might make fundamental rewrites to your story's plot, point of view, setting, and more.

A manuscript review consists of feedback on and edits to specific areas in your story that you choose to change significantly.
